Knitting some small things...

Dish cloths and baby bibs knitted with Sugar'n Cream, Peaches & Creme and Bernat Handicrafter Cotton.

Dish cloths yarn: Sugar'n Cream Oriental Ochre
Looks like that color is discontinued.

Patterns: Mock-Woven Tea Towel and Double Bump Scarf or Dishcloth

Bib yarns: Bernat Handicrafter Holidays and Peaches & Cream: Shades of Spring

Patterns: No Tie Stretchy Baby Bib and Sideways Garter Stitch Baby Bib

I like the bib that slips over the head. Don't know how the parents feel about it... since we don't have any babies around.... can't ask.

Beaded Shamrock Bracelet or cup cozy

I love knitting with beads and this bracelet/cup cozy has shamrocks, just in time for St. Patrick's Day.

Holy Moly ~ a pan full of food

I love watching Ree Drummond the "Pioneer Woman" on the Cooking Channel. She made Chicken Florentine Pasta and it looked good, so I made it too.

Used 4 half chicken breasts, her recipe calls for 4 whole, way too much chicken. Armin and Thomas like leftovers... but this dish was a bit much. I used jarred pasta sauce to make it "saucier" for the leftovers and added some ricotta cheese to make it "creamier".

More hats for Rady Children's Hospital

I don't like making the same patterns over and over so I tried two new patterns, one knit and one crochet.
The crochet pattern did not come out as I expected so I made my own ruffle.
The knit pattern came out great.

Thanksgiving 2012

We celebrated Thanksgiving with Val & Helmar, Irene, Dale & Kyle, Linda & Bob. Sitting outside, eating deep-fried turkey and enjoying all the side-dishes Val, Linda and Irene brought to the feast.

Life is good!
